Brooklyn-born rapper and producer Kota the Friend is coming to Japan for the very first time! Bringing his latest album, "JUST HAPPY TO BE HERE!", he will perform at TASOGARE IN THE PARK 2026 in Osaka on Monday, November 23 (National Holiday), followed by a headline show at Daikanyama UNIT in Tokyo on Tuesday, November 24!

In July 2026, Kota the Friend released his latest album, "JUST HAPPY TO BE HERE!", a project centered around gratitude for simply being present in the moment. After taking his "JUST HAPPY TO BE HERE! TOUR" across the United States, Kota is bringing the tour to Japan this November.

Blending warm, mellow beats rooted in jazz and soul with his effortlessly laid-back flow, Kota the Friend has continued to make music on his own terms. His lyrics offer honest reflections on family, friendship, everyday life, and his personal journey.

With a steady stream of releases including "FOTO" (2019), "EVERYTHING" (2020), the "Lyrics to GO" series, and collaborations with Statik Selektah, Kota has built his career entirely independently. Without signing to a major label, he has continued to release music through his own label and brand, FLTBYS, taking his sound from Brooklyn to listeners around the world.

Kota also has an existing connection with Japan, having collaborated with Japanese producer Sweet William on the track "ME TIME" in 2023.

From Brooklyn to the world, Kota the Friend has continued to share his music on his own terms.

*Now, with his latest album, he makes his long-awaited Japan debut.
